Accumulated precipitation
The maps on this page display the forecasted accumulated precipitation for the next 24 and 48 hours and are updated twice per hour. The forecasted values are subject to verification and validation of our forecasters. They choose the best forecast model for each region, based on the current meteorological situation and their experience. These maps can thus differ from precipitation maps of our ALARO model.
To be able to follow the evolution of weather situations such as thunderstorms, the maps are updated every half hour. The most recent observations from our weather radars allow us to improve precipitation forecasts for the first few hours ahead. As an indication of the amount of rain: an average of 70mm of precipitation falls per month in Uccle. Rainfall amounts of more than 25 l/m² in a 24-hour period over a sufficiently large area may result in a warning.
